Our Commitment to Community Engagement and Support
Richmond Tennis Association
Richmond Tennis Association (RTA) is one of the oldest and most successful non-profit tennis organizations in the United States. Recognized as a top community organization by both the USTA and USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section, the RTA operates a variety of tennis programs and events throughout the year for tennis players of all ages and abilities.
Irv Cantor began his involvement with RTA in the 70s. While in law school, he spent his summers working for RTA, running the many tournaments held at the Byrd Park Tennis Courts. Now that Irv has more time to give back to the community, he joined the RTA Board in 2022 as a dedicated committee member.

Rising Stars Tennis Academy
The Richmond Tennis Association in partnership with the City of Richmond offers a free tennis program for youth who might otherwise not be exposed to the game. The Program is held at Byrd Park and led by RTA-selected tennis instructor, James Skinner. The RTA hopes this program will nurture a life-long love of tennis and help the youth achieve life skills, including understanding the importance of health and fitness.

RACC DONATIONS
In May, the Cantor Grana Buckner Bucci team warmly welcomed Yam Chop, a two-year-old shelter dog, through Richmond Animal Care and Control’s (RACC) Casual Friday Foster program. Yam Chop’s delightful day with us was a success, leading to her adoption shortly after.
Continuing our support for RACC, in June 2024, CGBB organized an in-office donation drive, gathering essential supplies and gifting stainless steel water bottles to RACC’s staff, acknowledging their dedication to the community’s animals. These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting local pets and the people who care for them.

Brain Injury Association of Virginia
BIAV is a statewide, primary source of information and personal support for individuals, families, and professionals whose lives have been impacted by brain injury. CGBB has been an active participant and sponsor of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia for years and is committed to fighting for brain injury clients. He wrote the chapter dealing with legal aspects of brain injury cases for the seminal medical textbook on the subject, Brain Injury Medicine. Irv is a past president of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia and was the 2010 recipient of the Weinstock Award from BIAV.
