Spring: Historic Recognition for Stephanie Grana

2025 was a good year for our firm. Awards, community work, a hall of fame induction—a lot happened, and we figured it was worth a quick recap.

April was a big month. Partner Stephanie Grana landed a spot on the Top 10 Super Lawyers® list in Virginia for 2025—something very few attorneys in the state ever accomplish. Several other CGBB attorneys made the Virginia Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists as well.

“This recognition reflects our entire team’s dedication to fighting for injured clients,” Grana said.

She also delivered commencement addresses at both her law school and high school alma maters that May. Not a bad spring.

Summer: Giving Back to Richmond Teachers

In July, we partnered with FOX Richmond on a Teacher Supply Drive for Richmond Public Schools. Pens, crayons, folders, rulers—the basics that teachers actually asked for, donated before the first day of school.

It’s a small thing relative to bigger firm milestones, but those supplies end up in classrooms with real kids. That counts.

Fall: Hall of Fame Induction, Tier 1 Ranking, and Lawyer of the Year

October got busy fast. Partner Irv Cantor was inducted into the Richmond Tennis Hall of Fame, which prompted partner Elliott Buckner to draw a connection that tracks pretty well: “Irv’s outstanding performance on the court is a great parallel to his long-time success and performance in law.”

The firm also pulled a Tier 1 ranking in the 2026 Best Law Firms list for Richmond. And Stephanie Grana—already on the Top 10 Super Lawyers list—was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and named 2025 Lawyer of the Year in Richmond by Best Lawyers®.

A busy season is an understatement.

Winter: Closing the Year with Community Giving

The firm closed out 2025 with donations to Little Hands Virginia, which provides essentials to economically disadvantaged young children in Central Virginia. A quiet way to end a loud year.
