It’s not every day you’re asked to give a commencement address, let alone be invited by two alma maters in the same year. We’re thrilled to share that our very own Stephanie Grana has received that rare and prestigious honor!
This spring, Stephanie will address the graduating classes of both the University of Richmond School of Law and Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, New York, where she is a proud alumna of each.
Stephanie earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Richmond, receiving her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in 1990, and her J.D., Cum Laude, in 1993. Throughout her legal career, she has remained a steadfast supporter of the university and the broader Richmond legal community. Being invited back to speak at her law school’s commencement is a testament to her professional excellence and continued dedication to mentoring future legal minds.
Just as meaningful, Stephanie’s return to her roots in Long Island carries profound significance, as she revisits her alma mater, Sacred Heart Academy, where she graduated in 1987. Sacred Heart Academy is a distinguished four-year, all-girls Catholic college preparatory high school, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood. The values instilled by this community helped shape Stephanie’s unwavering sense of justice, leadership, integrity, and compassion. During her formative years at SHA, she was a standout student, thriving as a member of the speech and debate team, excelling on the swimming and track teams, and earning a spot among the top five graduates of her class.
The CGBB team warmly congratulates Stephanie on these well-earned recognitions. We are confident that she will inspire and empower the next generation of leaders, guiding the high school and law school graduates to lead with passion, to serve their communities wholeheartedly, and to strive to make a meaningful impact on their chosen paths.
